The Resurrection of the Body
On Easter we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. It is the climax of the Christian faith. Triumph over sin and death was accomplished. A hope for the future was secured. Sin is not victorious. The grave is the not the end. But resurrection is not just some future reality. Resurrection changes how we think, how we act, how we live today. Resurrection says that what we do with our lives matters here, in the body we inhabit right now. A body that one day will be resurrected and transformed when all will be made new and when heaven comes to earth. And until then, bodies matter just as much as souls! And to live into the reality of the resurrection means we will care for them!
