Aren’t there times when an island in the Caribbean with no one but the sun and sand to keep you company sounds attractive? While we all occasionally need some space, the reality is—no one is an island. Even though our culture prizes rugged individualism, the truth is that God wired us to do life with other people. And our “me first, island living” mentality is wreaking havoc in our society. Many are profoundly lonely and this is not the way it is supposed to be. We will explore the challenge to join others in authentic, messy, but life-giving community.
