• SEARCH Woodstock:  Are you looking for something different to do with your youth?  Check out Search! A youth weekend retreat with a focus on our well-being, enabling youth and leaders to discover answers to some of the questions and issues that face us in our lives.  Registration is now open for grade 9-12 students being held at Maranatha CRC, Woodstock from July 26 – July 29th.  Please join us for a weekend filled with dive-in sessions and speakers in which we will have in-depth discussions looking at “Who Am I”, “What Am I Here For”, and “Where Do I Fit In”.  Our main speaker this year is Jason Dykstra, a mediator, conflict coach, and father.  We will also go out to work sites within Woodstock, lending a helping hand to those in need.  For more information and to register, please check out our website – searchwoodstock.webs.com.  You can also contact Kristin at 519-539-5301 at Maranatha CRC.


  • CRESCENDO MEN'S CHOIR: Grateful to God for the gift of music and voice, the Crescendo Men's Choir invites you to a concert as we close our 49th year of singing. This event will take place on April 28, 7:30pm at the East Christian Reformed Church, 476 Metcalfe St. E., in Strathroy. Tickets are available from any choir member or at the door.   • THE CHRISTIAN COUNSELLING CENTRE:  invites you to attend Encouragement Café, an evening of desserts, music and a story of hope and recovery. This event will take place at Forest City Community Church, 3725 Bostwick Road, London, on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 7:30 pm. Our guest speaker is Brigette VanHuisstede, wife, and mother of four children. Brigette, a survivor of cancer, will be sharing her journey and struggle on the road of healing and hope. Musical performance by Paul VanHuisstede, Brigette’s husband. Through songs, he shares his own journey dealing with loss, grief, and depression. This is a donation based event.   • FAMILY OUTREACH ONTARIO invites you to an information evening on Friday, May 4, at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church (735 Frontenac Cr., Woodstock).  We have a guest speaker lined up that I’m sure you will want to hear: Judy Tomzcak, author of “When the Light at the End of the Tunnel Is Another Train”.  She has an amazing story to tell that will be of particular interest to anyone who has suffered because of a family member's addiction.  She reminds us that alcoholism and drug addictions are a family disease… they affect others also, not only the addict.  Please plan to attend and tell others about it as well.  It will be an evening you will be sure to remember. A collection will be taken to help cover our costs.

  • FRUITLAND SPECIAL NEEDS SERVE:  Special Needs SERVE is an opportunity for youth/young adult with a disability to be a part of a SERVE experience. These youth/young adults will walk along side of a peer mentor for this5-day event that includes worship, small groups, volunteering at worksites, and community building events. It is a week for youth working together to serve God, and grow and develop in their faith. Special Needs SERVE is run through Youth Unlimited, and will be hosted in Fruitland with support from area churches. This year we are hosting at Fruitland CRC the week of July 20-26, 2018 and we will be on a journey together learning to Love God, Love the World! Interested and want to know more?   • LONDON CHRISTIAN HIGH presents…. One Foot in Heaven: This year's drama production, One Foot in Heaven, is based on Hartzell Spence’s biographical novel of the same name. Set in 1910, the story focuses on Reverend William H. Spence and their family as they adjust to their new parish and run-down parsonage in Laketon, Iowa. Through patience and humour, the Spence family deals with a wide variety of personalities in their congregation, as they advocate for progress and change. As the play unfolds, the audience is challenged to consider the value of loving your neighbour and living in community. Show dates are April 13, 14, 20, 21 at 7:30pm.
