• ATRIUM UPGRADE: Our volunteers have been hard at work and things are progressing nicely. The flooring has been extended into the new cafe space, the walls are being sanded and painted and the cabinets are ordered. A huge thank-you to all who have spent time working in the space and to Mark Bosma who continues to coordinate the efforts. We are excited to see it complete!


  • SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKES: Mark February 13 on your calendar for our annual Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner. The youth groups of our church are excited to host you for a yummy dinner of sausage and pancakes! They will begin serving dinner at 5:30pm.


  • ISRAEL/PALESTINE TRIP Interest/Information Meeting: Pastor Steve is exploring interest in another trip to Israel/Palestine. There will be a short meeting following worship this morning in the second floor board room. Here is some basic information.

  • YOUNG ADULTS! - It’s not too late! There is still time to register for the Young Adult Winter Retreat! Join others aged 18-30ish from across the province on January 26-28, 2018 at Maranatha CRC in Woodstock for a weekend assured to be full of spiritual encouragement, faith-based discussions, service, workshops, fellowship, and funtivities! We will be focusing on the theme of “Culture” and how we’re to represent Christ to our neighbours around us, as led by our speaker Pastor Mike Collins.   • SEMINARY STUDENT FUNDING: The Classis Chatham Student Fund Committee invites application for financial support for students who will be attending seminary in pursuit of a Master of Divinity degree in preparation for ordained ministry in the Christian Reformed Church.   • STEVE BELL and JEREMY ZEYL CONCERT: We are excited to host a Steve Bell concert at Talbot Street Church on Thursday, February 8 with special guest Jeremy Zeyl. Jeremy will be doing some recording for his new album and you are invited to take part. Tickets are available online or can be purchased at the information desk or in the office starting on January 14.


  • COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR: Pastor John DeVries invites you to join him and Elly on the annual Coldest Night of the Year walk in support of Mission Services London (MSL). On February 24 you can chose to walk 2, 5, or 10 km to raise funds for the MSL ministry to the homeless, hungry and hurting. If you aren't able to participate in the walk you can show your support by sponsoring John & Elly. All donations over $20 will be receipted.   • COLLECTIVE KITCHEN: Do you realize that the Collective Kitchen uses about 150 - 500ml containers each month to package meals for it’s participants! You can meet this need help by saving your yogurt, margarine, sour cream, etc. containers. Drop them off in the designated container outside the resource centre.


  • PARKING REMINDER: Please do not park in the church lot during the week unless you are attending Talbot Street Church for ministry programming, you have permission, or have confirmed that no other events are going on at the church facility. Ministry programming does NOT include Knights games, concerts at the Bud or a lovely night on the town with your spouse.
